Philippians 4:2 I urge Euodia and I urge Syntyche to be of the same mind in the Lord.
Even though I grew up in a Christian home and was very involved at church, I was well into my twenties before I realized that my love and passion for church work and the work of the church might be a calling, not just a personality tic. I can’t help but wonder if I would have seen myself in the story of God if the women of the early church had been lifted up and discussed as often as their male counterparts.
MOVING FORWARD: Today is September 11. Twenty years later, what stories are we telling about that day and its aftermath? Who were the helpers, like Euodia and Syntyche, that brought good news amid pain?
