SATURDAY, October 12

1 Corinthians 13:1 If I speak in the tongues of mortals and of angels, but do not have love, I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal.

If I speak Spanish and visit other Spanish-speaking countries but don’t have love, I am a noisy maraca. When we love, things are different. I am not talking about that rose-colored-lenses feeling but rather that every day, honest, messy, and often challenging way of love.

Several months ago, the Episcopal Church sponsored a revival in Honduras. When I saw my non-Spanish speaking siblings, including Presiding Bishop Michael Curry, at the revival in Honduras, I saw them sharing love without words.

Love comes with my smile, my joy, my hugs, and my listening ear. I have traveled to many places to share God’s love through music. I am forever grateful.

MOVING FORWARD: What is your love language?
