TUESDAY, October 12                  [Edith Cavell]

Matthew 10:22 And you will be hated by all because of my name. But the one who endures to the end will be saved.

What a powerful phrase, filled with strength! We know that Christ—when we allow him to do so—will help us find strength where we don’t have it. When we go through trials and tribulations, we think that Jesus is outside of the equation and outside of our lives. When this happens to you, I invite you to allow him to guide, love, embrace, and surround you like a child, with the assurance that he will never fail you.

Then, with humility, we can commit ourselves to serving others without regard to who they are or how much they own or what our relationship to the person is.

I believe that serving our neighbor is the best way to love our neighbor. Let’s take our faith to the next level; then we’ll know what we were made for.

MOVING FORWARD: How will you serve your neighbor today?
