SATURDAY, October 16         Hugh Latimer, Nicholas Ridley

Psalm 21:2 You have given him his heart’s desire; you have not denied him the request of his lips.

I celebrate the day I decided to plant my spiritual roots in the Episcopal Church. Here, I have grown in my own lay ministry of service and help for the needy. This has allowed me to offer the talents that God gave me.

I rejoice in the inheritance of Christ in my life. I maintain a direct communion with Christ Jesus that doesn’t need intermediaries. He reveals himself in my life as he wills, and he uses me as an instrument to bring hope to others.

My faith is renewed daily because every day I find myself before a Christ who needs my help, who needs to see the face of Christ in me. I bless my God every day, as I allow myself to be used as an instrument of his holy will. To live a life under Christ’s protection, we only have to make his path our way.

MOVING FORWARD: How do you contribute to the journey of those who are on the Way of Christ?
