John 6:35-36 Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never be hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty. But I said to you that you have seen me and yet do not believe.”
For some, these words are too hard to swallow. Jesus calls them—and us—on our inability to process and proclaim this good news. When we allow our faith to be limited by our own narrow understandings, we miss the limitless possibilities of God.
Singing these words of John, found in song #335, I Am the Bread of Life, in The Hymnal 1982, brings this love fully alive for me: Jesus came to feed me, to save me, to keep me with him forever!
MOVING FORWARD: Be encouraged by Jesus’ message that he was sent by God expressly to save YOU. Share this joy with someone in your life who needs to hear a word of hope.
