Ecclesiasticus 19:10 Have you heard something? Let it die with you. Be brave, it will not make you burst!

What would it be like to commit to not sharing what we hear about others, no matter how harmless it may seem? After all, how many people have inaccurately attributed famous quotes to Einstein and Gandhi? Adopting Sirach’s practices could make us much quieter. It might also mean we’d have to read and think for ourselves. What if, like Sirach, we spent more time considering what is worth sharing and less time sharing what isn’t?
