Romans 4:14 If it is the adherents of the law who are to be the heirs, faith is null and the promise is void.
A girl in my preschool class sat crying at the bottom of the slide. I asked her what was wrong, but she wouldn’t say. Across the playground, my teaching assistant spoke to her grandson, Braedon, a precocious four-year-old who was visiting our class. Braedon then approached me and said contritely, “I’m not gonna lie. I pushed her.” He was obviously accustomed to receiving mercy and grace. His grandmother was always firm yet kind. Braedon had faith in her.
I said, “Let’s go ask your friend what we can do to make her feel better,” offering a means for grace. Such incidents often happen in preschool. Braedon was memorable for his bold confession. He was ready to make things right. He had the confidence of faith.
