WEDNESDAY, October 30

Psalm 119:64 The earth, O Lord, is full of your love; instruct me in your statutes.

I love nature—clouds, flowers, beaches, rocks, seashells, trees, and landscapes. If you look at the pictures in my phone or in my albums, you will find many nature pictures. I may not want to camp out and sleep under the stars, but I do love nature. Even through the haze of my allergies, I see God’s love all around me.

I have an uncanny knack for killing flowers, so my parents always plant flowers around my house. Many times when I have felt discouraged, I have walked outside and found a brand new rose smiling at me. I take it as God’s way of telling me, I love you.

The clouds, the rainbows, the grass, the beaches…all of these are God saying, I love you. Every instant I am surrounded by nature, I feel wrapped in God’s arms of love—even when I sneeze. I pray that as children of God, we take a cue from nature and give God’s love back to the earth and all who inhabit it.

MOVING FORWARD: Take a nice long walk today.
