TUESDAY, April 30

Daniel 2:11 The thing that the king is asking is too difficult, and no one can reveal it to the king except the gods, whose dwelling is not with mortals.

Storytelling is a part of life, and this activity helps us make sense of the world, teaching us how to handle the hard days. Stories educate, inspire, and build relationships. The story of Daniel interpreting Nebuchadnezzar’s dream is one of our essential stories of faith because it reminds us that God’s plan, though unseen, is always at work.

Daniel’s story is also our story. Prayer is Daniel’s first response. When we are confronted by what seems impossible, we turn to the God of hope. When we can’t do it, can’t finish, can’t take it one more minute, God can! May we, like Daniel, remember that no matter what problems we face, God in heaven will show up and show out. Nothing is too hard for God.

MOVING FORWARD: Make yourself a sticky note that reads: Nothing is too hard for God. Put this note someplace where you will see it every day!
