John 8:19 Then they said to him, “Where is your Father?” Jesus answered, “You know neither me nor my Father. If you knew me, you would know my Father also.”
Jerri was the first person to step up for anything. She joyfully decorated dozens of large brown paper bags for our local community Christmas outreach project. No matter the weather, she had the time of her life ringing bells for the Salvation Army, smiling and waving to passersby.
Even as cancer slowly stole her away from us, she continued attending church and volunteering. Though her life with us has ended, her memory remains among those of us who knew her, reminding us of God’s love and what we can do when we try to love as God does.
If people know us, they should know our Father also. Amen.
