WEDNESDAY, November 4

Ecclesiasticus 43:29 Awesome is the Lord and very great, and marvelous is his power.

Ours is a God who planted the islands, birthed the sea, and filled the deep with huge sea monsters—all for the sport of it. If God has taken such pleasure in fashioning all living things, imagine the pleasure God must have taken—and continues to take—in you and me!

When was the last time you were told how precious you are, how valuable your existence is in this world, how magnificent you are? When was the last time you remembered and believed that you were created by God with love and care? This message reverberates in the beauty of the world.

Hear it. Believe it. Feel God’s love radiating all around, and shout back with songs of praise and thanksgiving. Theologian Karl Barth asserts, “We could say more, but we could never say enough; so let our final words be: God is all.”

MOVING FORWARD: Carve out ten extra minutes of quiet time outside.
