Acts 23:13-14 There were more than forty who joined in this conspiracy. They went to the chief priests and elders and said, “We have strictly bound ourselves by an oath to taste no food until we have killed Paul.”
William Tyndale, whom we remember today, was also difficult for the powerful people of his day to manage. His English translation of the New Testament was smuggled into England and Scotland and promptly condemned as heretical. Tyndale persisted and was eventually condemned to death. Like Paul, Tyndale preached the gospel of Jesus, in the language of his people, to the end of his days.
