THURSDAY, October 7                  [Birgitta of Sweden]

1 Corinthians 12:4, 6 Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit; and there are varieties of activities, but it is the same God who activates all of them in everyone.

Have you ever taken the time to count the gifts God in his infinite goodness has given you? God has a perfect plan for each one of us that includes specific gifts for each person. That way, each person complements others with their respective gifts and talents.

“Where your gifts end, mine begin; where my strength ends, God’s strength begins.” This saying gives us assurance of the power of God in our lives, and with that assurance, we also share our gifts in our faith community.

Our talents, gifts, and strengths should always be in the service of the church, so that in this way, we magnify God with our life of faith, which is at the heart of the church.

MOVING FORWARD: Are you offering all your gifts for the benefit your faith community?
