Luke 13:32 [Jesus] said to them, “Go and tell that fox for me, ‘Listen, I am casting out demons and performing cures today and tomorrow, and on the third day I finish my work.’”
Like Jesus, my seminarian friend knows the end is coming. And like the rest of us, she doesn’t know when it will be. Working hard to cast out the demons of fear and pain, she moves toward her calling of being a priest. She leads worship, prays constantly, and is a wise counselor.
One day, her work on earth will be finished—but not yet. May we—like her and like Jesus—live fully into the gift of today, of this very moment—confidently and joyfully doing the work God has given us to do.
MOVING FORWARD: Live in the moment. Invite a few friends over for an impromptu get-together.
